You ever seen that one guy?? He is absolutely GORGEOUS. Nice skin, beautiful smile, can light up a room when he walks in. Immediately when you see him, you lose it. You try to play it cool, but you laugh at all of his jokes, stay near him all the time, and time your schedule with his so you see him everywhere. In your head, that’s bae. You have already planned out your wedding, how many kids, where you are going to live. He’s perfect and you already know that your family will love him and you will live happily ever after.

Then a few weeks later, you start to see a lot of other women attaching themselves to him. Because a little too close to him, play fighting with him, smiling EXTRA HARD in his face. You start to get irritated with every single one of the females all up in his face. They know, just like everyone else knows “THAT’S YOUR MAN” and you will square up with anyone who tries to come between you and your man.

LISTEN

Trust me. We have all been there, but you went from having a simple crush on this guy to downright ride or die for your “IMAGINARY BAE”

We get it. He’s fine, but girl, you have got to chill. Pretty soon, you will following him home and checking his dental records and his tax returns. We don’t need that arrest on your record.

It’s crazy how a gorgeous face and a beautiful smile can turn people absolutely insane, but let it stay just a crush. You can keep the fantasy marriage and kids in your head. Shoot even your friends can know about him, but just keep it inside your brain for a while. Don’t become a groupie, especially not to any imaginary love interest.

And think about all the time you have invested in making sure that you are up to par when he comes in or how much time you focused on what he talks about to strike up a conversation. That’s cute and all, but honestly, there is not enough time in the world to make sure that he see you and pays attention to you.

All that energy that you are investing in him, you need to be investing in yourself. Trust me when I say you are worth more than some imaginary boyfriend… despite how fine he is. (You can still look at him though. There is nothing wrong with that)
