When Pinterest hit 10 million monthly unique visitors it established itself as the fastest growing independent website in history.
Pinterest.com allows users to create virtual bulletin boards to share their ideas on anything from food to fashion. They can create as many boards as they want and upload any photo – so long as it’s deemed appropriate by the Pinterest Team.
Everyone using the site can share each other’s photos or use them on their own board like one big community. As Hoya and Pinterest enthusiast Amanda Platek said, “I like Pinterest because I feel like I’m always finding pictures on the internet that are amazing but then amazingly untrackable if I ever want to find them again.
