As Georgetown consistently ranks as one of the preppiest colleges in the nation, it is not surprising to see a monogram or two as you walk around campus. Admittedly, I abuse the Etsy website by ordering every monogrammed item possible. If you’re not looking to go as overboard as I have with monograms, here are the best items that can be easily spruced up with your initials:
1. A pillow
Now that you’re in college and sharing a room, you’ll want something on “your side” of the room to make it known that it is truly yours! Thanks to Etsy, I decorated my bed with a navy chevron pillow with my monogram stitched in orange.
2. Signet Ring
It has become a tradition in my family to receive a signet ring on your 16th birthday. The small gold or silver ring is something beautiful that can be worn for the rest of your life and possibly even passed down to future generations!
3. Book Bag
A monogrammed book bag is something you will definitely see on the Georgetown campus. Whether it is a large canvas tote or a smaller leather purse, a monogrammed bag is the perfect way to lug your books to class in style!
4. Water bottle
I cannot go anywhere without my Nalgene water bottle, so adding my monogram to it was the perfect way to make sure I could easily find it and distinguish it from those of my roommates!
