Hi there! I hope you are doing well. I wanted to share with you that I am currently on a journey to boost my confidence and self-love, and I have been putting all my efforts into embracing my femininity. I believe that piercings can enhance one’s look. In the past three weeks, I have gotten six new piercings, which include the industrial, conch, rook, double lobes, and helix. All of them were professionally done at a piercing/tattoo shop, and I take care of them twice a day. I feel more confident and comfortable showing my face when I go out rather than hiding behind my hair.

According to an article by Infinite Body Piercing outlining the shop’s statistics in 2020, “Despite being closed for three and a half months, we still came surprisingly close to keeping pace with previous years. Just like in 2019, earlobe piercings took first place at a whopping 2,752 total piercings. Excluding the time that we were closed, that breaks down to almost 73 individual earlobe piercings per week, or about 10 per day. Next up were helix piercings coming in at 1,670, followed closely by nipple piercings at 1,586. We were shocked to discover that we did so many nostril piercings in the first two and a half months of 2020 that they still made it into fourth place, with at 495, or approximately 46 per week for those two and a half months, or approximately 6.6 per day. In fact, both nostril and septum piercings, which were only performed from January 1 through March 15, still made it into our top ten piercings for 2020.”

Here are a few reasons why I think you should get the piercing you’ve been considering.

It will look so pretty on you!

Something about shiny things always draws attention and favor. Complimenting someone’s appearance can be subjective, as different people have different preferences. A piercing could enhance your beauty by accentuating certain features or complementing your style. Take into account your preferences and comfort rather than what people on social media say looks good. It’s worth noting that beauty is subjective, and what matters most is how you feel about any changes to your appearance.

It will help you practice patience

Getting your ears pierced can be a great way to learn patience. The process involves waiting for the right moment, mentally preparing yourself, and then enduring a brief procedure. The post-piercing phase also requires patience as you wait for the healing process. Healing times of piercings can last anywhere from 6 weeks to a year. It is a small yet meaningful exercise in self-discipline and delayed gratification. This experience can contribute to personal growth and the development of an essential life skill.

It will encourage you to stick to a routine

Having a piercing can help you set up a daily routine. After getting a piercing, it is important to regularly clean the pierced area with a saline solution. This cleaning process creates a new element in your daily routine that promotes hygiene and instills a sense of responsibility. By having a piercing, you have a daily task that encourages consistency and helps establish a routine. To avoid infection or complications, piercers recommend that you clean your piercings twice a day. This routine can continue beyond the healing period, reminding you of the importance of regular care and maintenance. Overall, it can be a subtle but effective way to incorporate a new element into your daily life and instill a sense of discipline.

It will help build the ear curation of your dreams

Have you ever seen Pinterest boards with ears full of beautiful jewelry? Why can’t that be your ear? Being able to fill a look with jewelry that reflects your personality and interests can be a fun and unique way of expressing yourself!

Your confidence will increase

If you’re looking to boost your confidence and add a unique touch to your appearance, getting a piercing might be a great option for you. It’s a way to express yourself and showcase your individuality, which can be very empowering. The process of getting a piercing and embracing a change in your look can give you a sense of self-assurance and pride in your identity. Not only will you receive compliments from other people about the beautiful piercing(s), but you will also feel as if you glow/shine more. You will discover different hairstyles that do not interfere with the piercing. Knowing that you’ve taken a step to enhance your aesthetic in a way that reflects your personality can contribute to an increased sense of confidence, which can radiate from the inside out.

You’re grown

If you are capable of making decisions like getting a piercing, then it is assumed that you are at an appropriate age. It is important to think about your future desires. If you are unsure about wanting the piercing as you grow older, it might be best to wait. However, if you have a strong desire for it, then go ahead and get it. Ultimately, your decision should be driven by your own desires and feelings. It is important to ensure that whatever choice you make aligns with your genuine wishes and brings you happiness.

I still want to get two more piercings to complete my ear curation vision, which is my conch and my daith. I am excited to see the final look and proudly show off my style in the upcoming year. Even though achieving the desired look requires patience, it will be worth it.
