Raise your hand if you love coffee. Or, by that matter, any fun little drink.

I know I do. But crafting a drink can be challenging. With so many flavor options, types of milk, and styles (hot, iced, blended, etc.), it can be hard to find what can put you in the holiday spirit. Don’t worry though, I got you.

Below are some drinks you can either make yourself or order from your local coffee shop. These delicious drinks will dance on your taste buds and warm your heart as you sip with your family or friends!

Iced Chai with Oat Milk and Lavender

If you know me, you know this is my staple drink. I love iced chai lattes so much. I don’t think I could ever get sick of them. You can order this drink from GCBC or any local coffee shop. If they don’t have lavender syrup, try brown sugar instead. You can also make this easily at home! Chai concentrates are sold at most stores, with certain syrups and milk to mix it with. It is a very versatile drink, and very delicious.

Lemon/Ginger Tea

Let’s face it. The holidays are notorious for sickness. Sore throat, cough, stuffy nose – it is no fun. However, I have found that homemade tea can help a lot with these symptoms, useful simply to warm your body up and help you relax.

Steamed lemonade, hot black/green tea, ginger root, and honey can be a great alleviator for these symptoms. If you do not feel well enough to make this on your own, I would check some coffee shop menus around you to see if they have something similar to this.

Hot Cocoa With Peppermint/ Gingerbread

Hot cocoa is a holiday staple. The warm hot chocolate soothing your whole body, I absolutely love it. However, many people forget you can add extra modifications to this drink! Peppermint syrup, gingerbread, or even mixing the different chocolate types (white and milk) can be delicious. No access to syrup? Stick a candy cane in there for that peppermint feel. Don’t forget to add whipped cream and marshmallows as well!

Almond Milk Latte With Honey, Toffee, White Mocha, or Cold Foam

This latte combination can be customized however you may like. Personally, I like to combine white mochas with toffee syrup or toffee cold foam on top. The almond, chocolate, and sweet toffee all blended together is a delicious treat guaranteed to warm your taste buds and satisfy your sweet tooth. This is an easy item to order or make. All you need is a bit of half and half in a blender and a coffee whipper to make the foam, and you are all good to go!

Coke With Coconut Creamer

If you do not like coffee, no worries! Soda with creamer is gaining more popularity, and rightfully so. The creamy milk blends with the drinks to make a smooth, delicious drink no matter what time of year it is. Also, using plant-based creamers can be a good dairy-free alternative to ice cream (floats) or other dairy options that may make some people sick. A personal favorite of mine is Diet Coke with coconut creamer. It is delicious! Also, root beer with creamer or orange soda to make an orangesicle. Your sweet tooth will thank you!

I find that fun drinks are a great way to treat yourself without breaking the bank. They taste good, are inexpensive, and boost serotonin (for me anyway). Now excuse me while I head to the grocery store ;)
