Ayana Perryman: Creative Cutie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GCSU chapter.

What is your year?

Junior.

Major?

English, creative writing concentration.

Hometown?

Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Are you in a relationship?

No, I’m not.

What organizations are you involved with at GCSU?

I’m in SOAR, Gamma Beta Phi, and Alpha Beta Gamma, which I’m not involved with yet but I’m planning to be. Those are both honor societies, not sororities.

What’s the best thing about your major?

Writing all the time!

What’s your biggest talent(s)?

Let’s see… writing (fiction and poetry) and playing the piano.

What inspires you the most?

My mom, my writing, and my sensei (I’m taking Taijutsu!).

How would you describe your style?

Um, I’m very comfortable, casual, and sometimes just a little uptight. Haha, it’s strange. I shop at Loehmann, and Macy’s and certain thrift stores.

Have you studied abroad? If so, where and if not, what country would you be interested in visiting?

I’ve never, but I would be interested in studying in Spain.

If you could pick any animal, which one would you be and why?

Oh my goodness, I like this one! I’d definitely be a harpy eagle!

Describe the best experience you’ve had at GCSU?

The best experience is joining different organizations and having teachers that are passionate about their job, which makes the class fun.

What’s the best advice you could give anyone on how to enjoy college? (socially, academically, etc.)

Never try to be a people pleaser, pace yourself, and never cram. Oh, and one of the most important things that I just have to add is to make friends. Good friends!
