7 Must-Haves for Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GCSU chapter.

Spring break is right around the corner! It’s so close we can almost feel the sandy beaches and the sun shining while we sip on our fruity mixed drinks. If you have a fun beach trip planned for spring break, here are some things you don’t want to forget to pack!

Sunscreen

I figured it would be obvious to start with a little SPF since we all know how lame the beach can be when you get too burnt from the first day and can’t face the sun the rest of the trip.

New Suits

New York Fashion Week set many trends for 2015 by including more fringe, floral, and everything else from the ’70s. Go pick up some new trendy bikinis to show off this spring break!

(Multiple) Sunglasses

There’s a lot of sunshine and waves at the beach, so be sure to protect your eyes with good sunglasses while also having a back up pair! Don’t even bother trying to sport your new Ray-Bans on a trip where sunglasses are usually broken or lost in the ocean.

Wristlet

A bright little clutch like these allow you to keep all of your small essentials with you, without having to lug around a purse that you probably don’t want getting sandy or wet anyways.

Tumblers

No matter what you’re drinking, it’s always a good idea to have your own cup that won’t spill or get sand in it while you are at the beach. Plus, they can be fun to personalize!

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a miracle product for so many reasons! It works as a great hair conditioner, moisturizer, lip balm, makeup remover, shaving cream and so much more. It also smells really tropical and delicious!

(Life-Proof) Phone Case

This last one isn’t the first thing you would think about while getting ready for a beach trip, but I promise it can be one of the most important! There’s nothing worse than smashing your phone or getting water damage while trying to have a fun time on spring break. So don’t forget to grab a good case before you leave!
