It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of crime podcasts. Who isn’t? They make you mad, they make you sad, and occasionally they even make you laugh! If you haven’t gotten into the weird and wonderful world of crime podcasts now is the best time to check them out!

Here are my top five crime podcasts!

1. True Crime Obsessed

My absolute number one podcast recommendation will always be TCO! I know a crime comedy sounds odd, but this podcast manages the perfect combination of humor and the macabre. The hosts recount and react to crime documentaries, and they certainly aren’t brief, but I have never once regretted spending an hour listening to them!

2. Crime Junkie

Crime Junkie is a fantastic, well-researched podcast that shines a light on lesser discussed crimes. While it is a serious one, they always lighten up the end of every episode with a look at one of their listeners’ puppies!

3. Criminal

This podcast covers interviews with “people who’ve done wrong, been wronged, and/or gotten caught somewhere in the middle.” It is always entertaining and you always learn something new and unique.

4. The Teachers Pet

This podcast takes a fascinating deep dive into the disappearance of Lyn Dawson, an Australian wife and mother. The host takes a closer look at this thirty six year old unsolved case and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

5. Someone Knows Something

The host of this riveting podcast joins the families of the victims of unsolved cases and attempts to track down answers.

These are just a couple of the amazing podcasts that the true crime world has to offer. While you’re stuck at home in lockdown it’s the perfect time to check them out! And after you’re done listening to them you can make yourself a cup of hot cocoa and watch some cartoons, just to remind yourself there’s still good in the world.
