Her Campus (HC): What has been your favorite memory of being at Florida State thus far?

Shelby Graham (SG): There’s too many to choose just one, but I have to say game days in general. I love being in the stadium and feeling all the school spirt.

HC: Why did you end up choosing FSU over the other universities in Florida?

SG: I never wanted to go to any other university than Florida State. My whole family attended FSU and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

HC: What are you involved with on campus?

SG: I’m part of Alpha Phi, Best Buddies and Student Senate.

HC: What do you hope to accomplish through being on Senate?

SG: During finals week, I hope to open up more 24 hour libraries than just Strozier.

HC: What is the best part about being involved in the Vitality party?

SG: Vitality really is like a family. They welcome you with open arms and genuinely care about helping their candidates accomplish their goals. They never just leave you in the dust. Joining Vitality has been such an amazing experience because the people in it are so motivated and being around them motivates me more.

HC: What is something on your bucket list?

SG: I have always wanted to scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef.

HC: What is one thing that relationships have taught you?

SG: In a relationship it’s really important for both people to give and take. One person can’t do all the giving because if you do, you slowly lose yourself along the way. A relationship isn’t supposed to be a lot of work and if it is, you aren’t with the right person.

HC: What is the single most important trait you look for in a guy?

SG: Personality. They need to be outgoing and easygoing. I have a big family so they really have to be able to roll with the punches.

HC: What is your idea of the perfect date?

SG: I think outdoorsy dates are so cute. It sounds cheesy, but just laying down on a blanket looking at the stars and talking.

HC: Who is your celebrity crush?

SG: Ryan Gosling.

HC: What is your favorite thing about being in Alpha Phi?

SG: The friendships I’ve made. They have made my experience at FSU much more than I could ever imagine.

HC: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

SG: Chocolate-chip cookies.

HC: What is one thing you cannot live without?

SG: I know they aren’t a thing, but my family. They keep me going and support me endlessly.

HC: Who is somebody that you look up to?

SG: My older sister Julie. She just always knows how to handle situations whenever one arises. She’s always very gracious and levelheaded.

HC: What is your favorite side to eat at Thanksgiving?

SG: Definitely sweet potato casserole.

HC: What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever received?

SG:  “Be Shelby, that’s all you have to do. Just be Shelby and people will love you.” My dad always tells me that.

Miranda is a Senior at FSU pursuing a degree in Sports Management. Her interests mainly include sports, sports, and more sports although she was never the athlete (oops). Her love for sports balances out her girly ways. She can sit down and cheer on her favorite New York teams with just as much passion as buying a new top (on sale of course). She is absolutely obsessed with her puggle, scrolling Twitter, and sleeping in. She hopes to rule the sports world someday, own a baby elephant, live on the beach, and have a big family.
