What exactly does manifesting entail? Essentially, manifesting is when you think positive and self-improving thoughts with the intention of making those thoughts a reality. After all, you’re only going to be as successful as your mind allows you to be. If you’re constantly filling your head with negative thoughts and living with a negative outlook, you aren’t going to get very far. Although it may seem difficult at times, it is important to work on not letting your thoughts limit your actual abilities!

First, let me give you a little bit of my own background. A little over a year ago, my mental health was at an all-time low and I was living in a constant state of pessimism. I looked at everything like it was a burden or an inconvenience to myself. My outlook on life was so dull that I really didn’t appreciate anything. This in and of itself was setting me up for failure before I even gave myself the chance to improve. As a result of both my unhappiness and my negative mindset, I ended up relying heavily on the validation of others instead of learning how to value myself. I cannot stress enough how absolutely unfulfilling this lifestyle is.

I knew I couldn’t continue living like that. So, what did I do to change it? I started practicing Law of Attraction manifestations.

Let me explain. In short, the Law of Attraction is basically the idea that you are going to attract the positivity you give out. Similarly, you’ll also attract the negativity you give out. Like attracts like. It works like this: if you maintain a positive attitude and consistently look for the silver lining in every situation, you’re automatically going to attract people with similar mindsets. I hate to break it to you, but no one wants to be around someone who is constantly complaining about their situation. Happy people want to be around happy people, period. Of course, that doesn’t mean that if you really are having a problem, that you shouldn’t talk it through. However, once you’ve talked it through and you have a plan of action, move on. Here’s some tough love: stop dwelling in the past. It’s damaging, extremely unproductive and is a waste of your valuable time.

You know that saying “fake it till you make it”? It really is true. The more that I forced myself to find the silver linings and maintain positive thoughts, the more I actually was happy. The happiness that I found within myself as a result of practicing these affirmations triggered the most amazing domino effect on my life. That outfit that had been sitting in my closet for months because I was too scared to wear it? I finally wore it. The toxic relationship I knew I needed to end? I ended it. The draining friendships I continued to put my all into? I finally stopped. I was finally happy with myself, which meant I was no longer in search of validation from others. It was absolutely liberating. Manifestation is entirely based on your mindset. As cheesy as it sounds, if you believe wholeheartedly something can happen, chances are, it will.

Here are a few tips for manifesting:

1. Clearly visualize your goals.

2. Maintain a positive mindset, even if it seems impossible.

Bonus tip: remind yourself daily of one thing you are grateful for. You’d be surprised how many things you’ll begin to think of.

3. Start some sort of manifestation journal.

I wrote all of mine on sticky notes and put them on my bathroom mirror. It helps to see my goals every time I wake up.

4. Get excited about what you’re manifesting!

Remember that thing I said about how you’ll attract the energy you put out? This is going to play a huge role in manifesting your goals.

I hope these tips are as helpful for you as they have been for me. Happy manifesting!
