If you’re like me, the countdown to fall started as soon as August hit. The countdown to when stores put out autumn decor, new candle scents line the windows of Bath and Body Works and best of all, coffee shops publish their brand-new fall menus. I’ll admit it – I’m a coffee fiend. Iced coffees, frappes, macchiatos, you name it, I’ve probably had it. This September, I’ve made a list, so you don’t have to, of fabulous fall coffee flavors that are local and to die for.

1. Apple Crisp OatMilk

This coffee flavor is as sweet as it sounds, with warm apple, caramel and brown sugar tones. I absolutely love all apple flavors so this was one delicious drink I had to try. Due to Tallahassee’s changing weather, Starbucks offers this drink in three forms: Warm Apple Crisp Macchiato, Apple Iced Macchiato and Apple Crisp Oatmilk Frappuccino. Available hot and cold, the Apple Crisp Oatmilk flavor is definitely worth a try.

2. Pumpkin Spice

Okay, it’s true. There is a huge debate about pumpkin spice. To some, pumpkin flavorings are overrated or simply repulsive. Let’s be real, though, for those of us who like pumpkin spice, pumpkin spice coffee takes the cake. There are two different local restaurants that offer phenomenal pumpkin coffees — Starbucks and The Frother’s Daughter. Available as a Pumpkin Spice Latte, a Pumpkin Spice Frappe and a Pumpkin Spice Cream Cold Brew, Starbucks has every form of this flavor right at your fingertips. While the cold brew is definitely less sweet than the others, it is still a classic. At The Frother’s Daughter, their menu offers a drink labeled “Pumpkin Patch,” which consists of brown sugar, cinnamon, white mocha cold brew and sweet pumpkin foam. Talk about an irresistible combination!

3. Caramel and Cinnamon

What’s fall season without a little bit of cinnamon flavoring and warm caramel sauce? Check out these autumn flavors that incorporate one, if not both, in their coffees! Starbucks has its classic Cinnamon Dolce Latte, which consists of sweet cinnamon and milk flavorings. This is a perfect drink for a study session or a cozy afternoon with friends. At Frother’s Daughter, this September you can find the “TLC” drink available — a tiramisu latte with caramel cold brew topped with brown sugar, cinnamon foam and cinnamon dusting. The TLC is a flavoring you don’t want to miss out on!

You may be wondering where The Frother’s Daughter is located or where the nearest Starbucks is on Florida State’s campus. After all, convenience is key when juggling clubs, classes, homework assignments, friends, et cetera. Located not far from Florida State University, The Frother’s Daughter is a delicious traveling coffee cart that is worth stopping by! Their schedule and location availability changes every week but they always post their upcoming locations on their website!

Also, a convenient option if you want to try some of the fall flavors Starbucks has to offer this year, Starbucks is located at multiple on-campus locations at Florida State University. Starbucks is located inside the Strozier Library, as well as in the new Student Union, where you can be sure to stop in and order any of their delicious flavors this September and October!
