An Evening of Serenity at Tallahassee’s Cascades Park

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Need a break from your hectic lifestyle? Visit Tallahassee’s Cascades Park. Located only 1.5 miles away from campus, Cascades is the perfect place to unwind by enjoying entertainment, nature and Tallahassee’s history.

Current FSU graduate student Valeria Vargas Caro plays with her two-month-old puppy, Bowie, in front of Capital City Amphitheater which houses spectacular local and regional acts.

Throughout the park there are swings overlooking Cascade’s breathtaking ponds as well as trails for walking, jogging and biking.

While exploring the many trails, you will learn all about Tallahassee’s early years ranging from the Smokey Hollow Commemoration to the Korean War Memorial.

Sasha is a senior at FSU studying editing, writing and media with a minor in business and communications. She enjoys binge watching Merlin on Netflix, photography, and cuddling with her dog.
