These 3 ‘The Bachelor’ Season 28 Contestants Are Definitely Girl’s Girls

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

The new season of The Bachelor is in full swing, and I am completely addicted. After watching The Golden Bachelor, I became obsessed with the drama, heartbreak, and comedy of the Bachelor franchise.

For a show whose entire basis is sticking a bunch of women in a mansion together and having them compete for one man, it’s not surprising that there tends to be drama. Despite that, many of the women form meaningful friendships inside the Bachelor Mansion, and these sometimes continue after the season’s end.

Yet a question kept coming to mind while watching the current season: Can these women really become friends when they know they’re all kissing the same guy and, in the end, he’ll choose between them? I’ve concluded that yes, it’s possible, but for only the true girl’s girls of the cast. In the case of this season, a girl’s girl is one that never brings down the other women and focuses on her connection with Joey.

Here are the women of Season 28 that I would personally classify as girl’s girls.

Daisy

For many (myself included), Daisy is a favorite among the cast. I’ve never heard her talk badly about any of the women, and she honestly just seems happy to be there. Her one-on-one date with Joey sealed her as the one I’m rooting for. Amidst the Maria and Sydney drama (we’ll get more into that later), she stayed neutral and chose not to pick a side. She never takes time away from the other women and doesn’t immediately brag about her date with Joey when she gets back to the mansion. I will always be Daisy’s No. 1 fan.

Maria

If you’re not caught up on the whole Sydney and Maria drama, Sydney overheard Maria making a comment about how Madina shouldn’t feel insecure about being old (she’s 31) and then proceeded to tell Madina that Maria was gossiping and talking badly about her.

This then started a dramatic feud born out of a misunderstanding. Maria clarified to Madina that she was not talking badly about her but simply saying she shouldn’t feel insecure because Maria is also older than Joey and that doesn’t matter to him. So Maria and Madina patched up the misunderstanding but the tension between Maria and Sydney has only grown.

The reason I see Maria as a girl’s girl is because, despite the fact she’s been caught up in all the drama, she’s supported the women around her throughout the season. She comforted another contestant, Lauren, when she was upset during a group date and tried to end the drama so it didn’t impact the women’s time with Joey. I think she’s just very earnest, and that rubs some women the wrong way.

Autumn

Autumn, unfortunately, doesn’t get the screen time she deserves. From the little we do see from her, she’s always sweet and kind to the women around her. She never gets involved in drama and is always seen around the other girls having a good time. In episode three, she even dressed up as a giant baby and had so much fun with it.

We haven’t seen a lot of her interactions with Joey, which isn’t the best sign that she’ll win, but I have a feeling she’ll continue to be a favorite for many viewers. Hopefully, she’ll get a rose at the next rose ceremony and we’ll get to see more of her personality shine through!

There are definitely a lot more women who deserve to be on this list, but these are just my top three. As the season continues, the drama between these women will test which ones are truly girl’s girls, and we’ll get to follow along and enjoy!
