Dogs can’t have all the attention. Especially when it comes to this feisty little lady. Reeses Pieces is her name, and getting your love and attention is her game. Owned by my beautiful roommate, Reeses is nothing short of a sweet and overly playful little kitten.
Age: 5.5 months old
Weight: Approximately 6 pounds
Major: Philosophy with a minor in Attitude
Hometown: Miami, FL
Favorite snack: Slices of cheese
Zodiac sign: It has been confirmed that cats do not believe in signs
The following conversation has been as roughly translated as possible due to the lack of cat whisperers in Tallahassee.
Her Campus FSU (HC): Reeses, what is a day in the life of a kitten?
Reeses Pieces: (RP): Life is simple. I like to lounge around my human’s room while she’s away. I sleep and eat basically all day and I couldn’t be happier.
HC: What are your hobbies?
RP: I love dragging my feather ball on a stick everywhere I go. I like to scratch my cat post, eat the blinds, lick some noses, and tummy rubs*.
*She in fact enjoys tummy rubs and then swiftly biting down on innocent fingers*
HC: Do you have any male interests?
RP: Oh please, I’m only a kitten. I have no time for any males trying to assert dominance in my domain. I am the alpha and the omega in my home.
HC: Why do you think that dogs are more popular than cats?
RP: I cannot begin to understand human nature. Maybe they can relate to dogs? I don’t know, but I can only hope that humans will soon come to their senses and realize cats are calm, intelligent, and we will only ever treat you as our slight inferior companion. There is a lot of love to be given, so please foster a cat from your local shelter and save my furry brethren.
HC: Any useful advice to give to owners?
RP: As the wise Garfield once said: “Feed us, love us, and don’t ever leave us.”
