Her Campus (HC): What are your plans for after college?
Adam Remillard (AR): I was granted early admission to Duke Law School, so I’m going there after this semester. My intended concentration is patents and intellectual property law.
HC: Are you currently employed?
AR: Yes, I’m a bartender at Menace Beach. I had been going [there] since I was a freshman; that was where I picked up my EDM (Electric Dance Music) addiction. I became close friends with the DJs who play the events. Menace used to be at LIT Nightclub, but after they closed, Side Bar picked up the event, and I went to bartend there. And I’ve been working there ever since.
HC: Are you single?
AR: [I’m] in a relationship; my girlfriend is Megan Miler. We met in the EDM scene; I hardstyle shuffle and Megan runs Sirens Performance Art, which is a gogo dance company. We connected over our shared interest in [EDM].
HC: How long have you been dating?
AR: We’ve officially been together about eight months.
HC: What’s your idea of a perfect date?
AR: Going out dancing at a show, and coming home and making a late dinner with some house music [for] ambiance.
HC: What’s your favorite genre of film?
AR: Romantic comedies… not gonna lie.
HC: Can you tell me one of your favorites?
AR: When Harry Met Sally.
HC: Do you like DC or Marvel?
AR: Marvel is the [best, and my favorite hero is] Captain America.
HC: Xbox or PlayStation?
AR: Xbox, and… HALO 4 SWAT is my game of choice.
HC: What’s your favorite restaurant?
AR: Any place with good sushi!
