It’s your last semester of college and you’re feeling good. Please, everything should be a breeze for you. You’ve conquered college and you know the ins and outs. You start off the semester strong (diligently going to class, studying hard for exams) and then you get closer to your graduation date. If you start feeling weird and don’t know what’s causing it, I’m here to tell you. You have senioritis. Here are 10 symptoms of this horrible disease.
1. Procrastination
More times than not, you find yourself saying, “I’ll do it later. I’m a pro at this. I’ve been here for years. I can knock out this assignment in 20 minutes.” Then you spend the next five hours trying to get it done.
2. Napping
For some reason, you just feel like college is sucking the life out of you. All you want to do is lay in bed all day and relax.
3. Skipping Class
Since your freshman year, you’d only skip class if it was an emergency. Now, every little thing seems like the perfect excuse to stay home. “I just sniffled, I guess I’ll stay home today.” “It’s drizzling. Well, looks like it’d be safer to stay home than brave the storm.” “My favorite show is having a marathon. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I can’t miss this. I’ll copy my friend’s notes later.”
4. Not Caring
It seems like everything that happens has no affect on you.
5. Complaining
It doesn’t matter if you could finish the assignment in 10 minutes. Using your energy to turn on the computer is just too much.
6. Partying
It’s your last hoorah! Why not live it up? Homework can wait.
7. Little Effort
Yes, of course you finished your assignment. Was it the best you could have done? Nope, but you did just enough to still get a passing grade on it.
8. Boredom
Your classes seemed so great when you signed up for them over the summer. Now, you can’t stand them. Get me out of here!
9. Impatience
Your time is precious. You can’t waste it being kept after class by a chatty professor or a person texting while walking.
10. You Just Want To Pass
These words have probably never escaped your lips before, but you’ve reached the point where you just want to graduate. Passing a class with a C seems pretty sweet at the moment.
