Keep Glowing: Best Sunless Tanner For Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

You know that point mid November where you look in the mirror and wonder where in the world your summer glow went? I know the feeling all too well. Late autumn is when I usually begin spending endless nights on Expedia and Bookit.com searching for the perfect beach getaway, hearing the sounds of reggae in my head (doesn’t everyone associate that with paradise?), only to remind myself that I am a broke college student. Since cooler days mean paler legs, I know that I need to get real bronze real fast. Since tanning salons are out of the question, I turn to the tube to keep glowing: L’Oreal Sublime Bronze. It’s like summer in a bottle.

How does this product reign supreme over all the self-tanners out there, you ask? Let me count the ways:

ONE: it doesn’t smell. I’ve used a few other brands which shall remain nameless (cough Jergens cough), and they had such a strong chemical smell that I even grossed myself out. L’Oreal Sublime Bronze lotion smells just lovely, and it’s faint enough so that I could still wear perfume.

TWO: it’s instant. None of that ‘put it on every day for the next month and then maybe notice a change’ deal. This stuff is fast: massage it into your skin as you would a moisturizer, and voila- you’re tan and glowing.

Warning: people may ask you where you went on vacation. Plan a really great story accordingly.

THREE: it’s au naturel. For those of you who are interested in health facts, it contains a good amount of Vitamin E and gentle AHA’s, aka naturally occurring alpha hydroxyl acids (they moisturize the skin and treat acne).

Added bonus: at only $9.99, it’s a major steal (and much cheaper than a flight to Hawaii!). One bottle will last you until you can finally get to the beach again. So worth it.
