Why did you choose Fordham? I can’t explain what I felt when I first visited the campus, but I knew I felt comfortable here. I also like that it’s close to home. You’ll usually find me in the Student Lounge in McGinley or playing on the soccer, softball, dodge ball, and volleyball intermural teams.

What do you look for in a girl? I like a classy girl, who knows good morals and has a sense of individuality. Family is really important to me, so she has got to be close to her family. She also has to be into my sense of humor. I want to make sure she’s laughing and having fun when we are together. Plus, I have a soft spot for brunettes, haha.

What is your idea of the perfect date? A nice, expensive dinner, then a movie at my place.

Since you are already dating one, what makes Fordham girls so special? Fordham girls are beautiful and intelligent. I like that I met my girlfriend at Fordham because we met in class and ran into each other in-between classes.

Claire Cumberland is a sophomore at Fordham University in the Bronx. A communications major, she doesn’t have a singular idea about what she wants to do with her life, but hopes to dabble in many different things before stumbling upon her dream job. She enjoys reading, writing, walking her dog Scout, going to thrift stores, watching television, painting her nails, getting internships, online shopping, and color coding things. Claire has interned at Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a charity for childhood cancer established in her hometown of Philadelphia, PA. She also interned at Sesame Workshop as a production intern for The Electric Company, a popular show on PBS. Claire is currently involved in Global Outreach at Fordham University and is an anchor for Fordham Nightly News.
