The Dean’s list is back! And in true fashion, we’re changing up our style. Instead of a look back on the month’s best trends, hottest celebrities, and craziest news, we’re giving you a look forward at what to expect for the month. With finals coming up and the holidays right around the corner, December is one of the busiest months of the year!
Hot Trends:
The Tribal Cardigan: One of my personal favorites this season is the tribal cardigan. With a long and drapey cut, this sweater is perfect for the end of fall and start of winter; the tribal cardigan is the sweater staple of the season. Bold geo patterns in warm earth tones add to the tribal cardigan’s trendy statement. Paired with leggings or jeans and your favorite pair of boots, the tribal cardigan will keep you cozy and cute for class.
Accented Booties: By now you’ve put away your wedges and said goodbye to your sandals. The winter cold can make getting dressed a pain, especially when it comes to what shoes to wear. December is the month to start buying and sporting some of the adorable booties popping up in every store. This year, we’re seeing booties in a new style, with accented heels. Everything from spikes and studs to gold plates are adorning booties this season. With a pair of accented booties you’ll look put together from head to toe!

Last month, the unthinkable happened…Justin and Selena broke up. Everyone was talking about it, and they’re still talking about it. It turns out that the parted lovers have been spotted together recently, out to dinner and after award shows. December will be a crucial month for the couple, we’re on our toes waiting to see if they fully rekindle their romance, or give up for good.
The Hills star Kristin Cavallari has had a great year. Besides reuniting with her ex-fiancé Jay Cutler, and giving birth to their son, Camden, Kristin has teamed up with Chinese Laundry for her own shoe line. The line will hit stores this month, and the prices will range from $69.95 to $149.95. What to Watch:
Les Misérables: One of the perks of going to school in NYC is the easy access to Broadway and all the amazing shows. But this December you won’t have to live in NYC to catch Anne Hathaway and a major A-List cast lending their talents to the characters of Les Misérables. The 1862 novel turned musical will receive yet another modern adaptation when Les Misérables takes the jump from Broadway to the big screen this Christmas.
December Hottie: Chris Hemsworth. Do we really need to say anything else? Chris stars as a teen trying to survive a North Korean invasion of the United States in the remake of Red Dawn. The movie premiered last month, and you can catch it in theatres through December. It’s really no question why he made the Dean’s List this month; we think this picture speaks for itself.
