Her Campus has opened up so many amazing opportunities for me, and this Fall I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Her Campus Trendsetter! As a Campus Trendsetter, I have the opportunity to work with the Her Campus team and partners to weigh in on all things fashion, beauty, tech, health, entertainment, and more. The goal is to inform a company’s brand strategy and give my input on upcoming Her Campus initiatives. I also get to be the first to know about projects we have in the works! As part of a back-to-school campaign, I received some amazing samples from brands like Steripod, Innisfree, Extra Gum, Milani, and L’Oreal.
So without further ado…here are my first impressions of these amazing brands!
Steripod: Steripod was nice enough to send me toothbrush protectors, razor protectors, and tongue cleaners! The toothbrush protectors are great for living in a dorm, both my roommate and I use them so our toothbrushes don’t touch each other, and they keep them clean. The colors are really cute and they aren’t clunky like some other brands. The razor protector wasn’t my favorite. In theory the product is great for a dorm, especially when keeping your razor in a shower caddy — but it kept my razor wet which is gross and can lead to mold build-up. I haven’t tried the tongue cleaners yet, but I’ve heard great reviews!
Innisfree: I received the “My Real Squeeze Mask” and the “Pore-clearing clay mask with volcanic clusters” from Innisfree and I LOVE them! These soft, creamy clay masks are ideal for normal, oily, and combination skin types. I like using it after a shower so that it really cleans my pores.
Extra Gum: Extra sent me two packs of Extra Refreshers. I gave onto my roommate and we both like to chew them when we study. This is the perfect pick me up for any point in your day.
Milani: Milani sent over their Milani Make it Last Matte Charcoal Setting Spray, which smells SO refreshing. This is a perfect topper for any makeup look and really locks in your makeup for a long school day or a night out.
L’Oreal: Last but not least, L’Oreal was nice enough to have me try their L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise™ Mascara. This stuff is insane! It makes your lashes super long and you don’t even need to curl your eyelashes for an extra lift. I would, however, recommend taking off some of the product, or be ready with another brush because the product can get a bit clumpy with one too many coats.
