Miami Guide: Must Go-To Events This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FIU chapter.

We’re officially 3 days away from fall and you know what that means! Pumpkins everywhere, cool weather, comfy sweaters, boots, leaves, fall scented candles, and pumpkin pie… but wait a minute, we’re in South Florida! What exactly can we do during fall when we live in Miami? Although Miami may not experience the four seasons, there are amazing fall activities held each year to fall in love with in South Florida! No pun intended. Here are some events and activities that will get you in the fall spirit in Miami.

1.  Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival

Nothing quite like getting into the fall spirit than visiting a pumpkin patch! The popular annual Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival is a must-go this autumn. The festival features a large variety of  fall activities including a huge pumpkin patch with exactly 2,500 pumpkins to pick from, a pumpkin decorating tent, a cornstalk maze, a dress your-own scarecrow village, and tons of fall-themed photo vignettes to capture the perfect Instagram photo! Featured are also carnival rides for all ages and a pumpkin food court filled with amazing fall-themed food. There’s no shortage of food offered as there’s a variety of options for everyone! For those with a big sweet tooth, you’ll love the pumpkin funnel cakes and mini pumpkin pies. And for those who favor non-sweets, there’s a large selection of traditional carnival food available including the carnival’s one of a kind pumpkin pizza and pumpkin curry shish kabobs. The festival was voted one of the top harvest festivals by O, the Oprah Magazine and this year’s festival is coming back with many new innovations that you won’t want to miss. The two-day festival tickets are now on sale here and admission includes unlimited access to the carnival rides for every guest. Make your way over to the Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival next month and experience the true essence of fall in Miami.
