On Saturday, April 7th the New York City Fire Department announced that there was a four alarm fire that took place at Trump tower located on fifth Avenue in New York. it was originally reported around 7pm, and was declared “controlled” around 9pm. The fire occurred on the 50th floor with the reason behind it due to electrical heaters found inside the building’s cooling towers. 

it has also been reported that the fire caused 6 injuries and one dead. the individual who died lived in the 50th floor and was taken to the hospital with critical condition. The six injured were firefighters whose injuries were declared “non-life” threatening. Neither member of the first family were in the building when the fire occurred but took to twitter to voice their gratitude towards the NYFD.
