Trump’s Star Vandalized on Hollywood Walk of Fame

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

This year’s presidential election has taken the world by storm. The riots, protests, and vandalism surrounding the two major candidates just continue to get worse.

Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was vandalized so badly that portions of the star were completely removed from the sidewalk.

According to ABC7, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce released a statement about the matter, saying:

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees. When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California State landmark. Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a difference by voting and not destroying public property.”

Prior to the incident occurring the L.A. P.D. had received threats that the incident was going to occur, but by the time they had reached the scene, it was too late.

This election truly has become one big battle, and that is not want a presidential election should be about. The riots, insane protests, and vandalism are not an accurate reflection of who we are as American people.
