THESE SHOES ARE ON POINTE!: BALLET FLATS ARE IN FOR FALL 2022

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Whether you are a fan of ballet flats or not- they are back in season! The shoes that were once popular with young school girls have returned, but this time in a slightly different style. While critics claim that ballet flats are “childish” and “immature”, they can be the perfect addition to your capsule wardrobe. Capsule wardrobes allow for a person to buy more versatile pieces that can be used for a variety of different events and occasions, and this article will show you how one pair of ballet flats can do just that.

Weekday– Ballet flats are perfect for work every day. They are sleek, simple, and not too flashy. Paired with straight-leg pants and a sweater, they allow you to stay stylish and comfortable during a long day at the office.

Saturday Night – When paired with straight-leg jeans and an oversized leather jacket, ballet flats keep you looking stylish and comfortable during your Saturday night. They allow for an easy transition between dinner and dancing the night away with your best friends.

Sunday Brunch – Bella Hadid does it best by keeping her ballet flats casual. She can often be seen roaming the streets of New York in her ballet flats and matching sweatsuit. This is an easy put together look all Sunday long.

Ballet flats can be worn wherever your week takes you. While I prefer ones with a little block heel to elevate some of my outfits, there are so many options to choose from. Ribbon or no ribbon, platform or no platform, pointed or square toe, the options are endless. Regardless of what choice you make, ballet flats will make a great addition to your fall 2022 wardrobe!
