Tayshia is the ~New~ Bachelorette and We Couldn’t Be More Excited

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Out with the old… in with the new Bachelorette!

The long-awaited moment of this season of the Bachelorette has finally come Tayshia’s arrival! Even before this season started the rumors were spreading, and people were speculating about Clare leaving and Tayshia taking her spot as the Bachelorette.

Last episode confirmed this rumor to be true when Clare got engaged to Dale after falling ~head-over-heels~ for him within just two weeks into filming. She decided that she could no longer go on as Bachelorette because she was solely interested in Dale and would not give the rest of the guys a fair chance. The last moment of the episode, a clip of Tayshia coming out of the pool in slow motion, dramatically confirming that she will be the new Bachelorette.

This week’s episode showed Tayshia meeting the men. I personally was glad that they brought in new men in addition to those already there so that Tayshia has more options as opposed to just the men that Clare left behind. One of the men was so distraught after Clare left, he felt he couldn’t go on with Tayshia and decided to leave. Other than him, however, the other men seem to be very excited that Tayshia is there.

The season’s drama continues, and tensions have already arisen at the resort when the new men show up, specifically towards one of the new men named Spencer, who Tayshia decided to give her first impression rose to.

All this being said, it looks to be an exciting season with Tayshia as the new Bachelorette, and I can’t wait to see what next week’s episode has in store!
