If you’re like me, then you probably have a constant inner dialogue that runs through your head every day. It’s what you think when you stare at the ceiling early in the morning, what you hear when you zone out in class, those imaginary conversations you have with yourself, and of course, your shower thoughts. Here are 15 relatable thoughts I have almost every day:
1. When I wake up at 7 a.m. because my past-self thought that having an 8 a.m. “can’t be that bad”:
2. When I tell myself it’s really time to get out of bed now because I haven’t actually moved in the 25 minutes since my alarm went off:
3. When I realize that I should have gotten out of bed earlier because I probably need more than 20 minutes to get ready:
4. When I look into my closet full of clothes, but I really only wear 5 shirts and they’re all dirty because I haven’t done laundry in over 2 weeks
5. When I realize that I zoned out and have been staring in the bathroom mirror for a good 5 minutes, and now only have 15 minutes to actually get ready
6. When I make it to class just barely on time but it’s still early and I’m tired:
7. When I’m in my music history class, because I don’t know anything about music or history:
8. When it’s finally lunch time:
9. When I force myself to go to the gym:
10. When I think about all the work I procrastinated:
11. When I spent 5 hours in the library staring at my computer, trying to write an essay:
12. When it’s 1 a.m., I have a paper due the next day, and I’ve written approximately one sentence (okay, maybe that sentence is just the title of the paper).
13. When I mentally prepare what to tell my professor when I submit my paper, knowing that it’s terrible:
14. When I’ve finally finished all my work:
15. When it’s bed time:
