Madewell’s Denim Discount For A Cause

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Over the summer, our favorite cool girl shop Madewell teamed up with Blue Jeans Go Green, a charity founded in 2006 that recycles denim and turns it into housing insulation for those in need. Throughout the course of the fall season, Madewell will give you $20 off a pair of new jeans if you donate old ones to the cause. The great part about this is they can be in any condition, whether they’re jeans that have been in the attic since middle school or the ones you got at Forever 21 that fell apart after one wash.

Madewell has an amazing denim bar, with tried and true dark skinnies to trendy high waisted flares. As a tall girl, one of my favorites is the new Perfect Fall Jean, which has a 90’s feel thanks to the flattering high waist and the looser leg that falls somewhere between flare and straight leg. One of the best parts about these jeans is the vintage wash and white paint splotches, giving it a classic worn-in look. I recommend pairing it with a tucked in top and a chunky boot or a sleek pair of flats.

Now that you have the chance to update your fall wardrobe AND help a good cause, get shopping!
