Fresh Check Day at Fairfield University

On Wednesday, September 17th, Fairfield University will hold its second annual Fresh Check Day. Fresh Check Day is an event to promote awareness and build unity for those suffering from mental health issues. The goal is to get people to make connections with their peers, and reach a comfort level that provides them with a sense of safety and self-worth.  Her Campus, along with different clubs and organizations from the university, will be supporting Fresh Check Day with activities to help students reach that goal. Stop by the quad from 12-3 p.m. this Wednesday to enjoy a live band, the Super Duper Weenie truck, giveaways/prizes, and an FYE thrive swipe for freshmen!

Prior to joining Her Campus, Danielle worked at House Beautiful as Senior Lifestyle Editor, directing and producing feature videos and stories. Danielle also served as Snapchat Editor at Cosmopolitan, overseeing the brands daily Snapchat Discover channel. In 2016, she launched Cosmo Bites — which is now the official food and beverage vertical at Cosmopolitan. That same year, Danielle was named as a Rising Star in the digital media industry by FOLIO Magazine. Danielle got her start in digital media by launching the Her Campus chapter at Fairfield University in 2014, where she acted as Campus Correspondent for 2.5 years, before graduating with a degree in English and creative writing.
