The holiday season is plagued with homesickness and finals. It can be very difficult not to be home for the holidays. You miss your family, you’re cramming for exams, and it just doesn’t feel the same. But fear not, because Fairfield is here to help you! While it’s not home, the IRHA community does it’s very best to get you into the holiday spirit!!
Wednesday, November 29th, IRHA is taking a trip into NYC to see the Christmas tree lighting in Rockefeller Center! There truly is nothing more magical than Christmas in NYC, and the Rockefeller tree is the epitome of Christmas in NYC. Plus, who wouldn’t love to get off campus for bit of shopping and great New York food?! It’s clear that us Stags love to get into the Christmas spirit, because the trip is completely sold out! Thank you to IRHA for hosting this trip and helping us kick start the holiday season!
Meanwhile on campus, IRHA holds a lighting of the lounges. Your RAs will get together to help turn your lounge into a winter wonderland! You will get an e-mail from your RAs to tell you the time of the event. In the comfort of your own dorm lounge, your RAs will hold their own ‘lighting of the lounge’ ceremony and invite you in for food and to look at their handiwork. Last year, I was so impressed with how incredible the IRHA team made our lounge look. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought Buddy the Elf had been there!
Enjoy this holiday season, and thank your IRHA community for making Fairfield feel as festive as home!
Happy Holidays!
