Clam Jam Style Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

It’s that time of year! Clam Jam is soon approaching and along with it, the anxiety about what to wear! Every collegiette wants to look her best on this day, raiding their closets to figure if they have an outfit to wear or need to buy one. Whether you need inspiration on what to buy or simply want to re-style some of your wardrobe faves, you have come to the right place!

Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are a popular and very comfortable choice for Clam Jam. Break out your maxi, and add some new accessories to stand out in the crowd! If your maxi is a solid color, pair it with a fun colorful statement necklace to add a pop to your outfit.  If your maxi is patterned, I would keep the accessories simple with your favorite sunglasses, dainty bracelets, and gladiator sandals.

Maxi Skirt

Maxi skirts are a great alternative to maxi dresses for Clam Jam!  Pair it with a flowy or form fitting crop top, your favorite Ray-bans, and sandals to complete the look. If you are in the market to buy a maxi skirt, Forever 21 has great selection to choose from.

Floral Sundress

A versatile floral sundress is the perfect staple in any collegiette’s closet, and a great option to sport this Saturday.  You can leave the accessories simple, or can add a fedora hat and some jewels to glam the dress up.

Romper

Rompers come in a variety of styles anywhere from structured and fitted to loose and flowing, so there is a perfect one out there for everyone! Add your favorite bangles, sunglasses, sandals and you are ready to darty!

High-waisted shorts

If you want to opt for another choice besides a dress or skirt, try a pair of high-waisted denim shorts. These music festival must-haves can be styled in many ways to look fabulous at Clam Jam.  You can tuck a graphic tee into a pair of shorts or rock a crop top if you dare.
