Though you may think you fall somewhere in between, the majority of people are usually either classified as either “morning people” or “night people.” You’re either wide awake at 5 AM ready to start your day or you’re up until 1 AM doing homework and sleeping in as late as possible the next day without missing your class. You can usually gage who’s who based on how they act in particular situations.
At an 8:00 AM class:
Early Bird: “I have so much energy. I’ve been up since 5:30 AM. I’ve already worked out, done my homework for tomorrow and eaten breakfast!”
Night Owl: “Sorry I’m late, professor.” **Turns to person sitting next to them** “I can’t wait for this class to be over. I’m going to take the longest nap ever.”
Picking their Schedule:
Early Bird: “They only offer that class at 3:30 PM?? No! That’s only a few hours away from my bed time!”
Night Owl: “So I’m going to try to get my earliest class to be at 5:00 PM. That way I actually think I’ll be able to make it on time…maybe.”
Going Out:
Early Bird: “Can we please go out early tonight? I’d really like to be in bed by 9:00PM. **All friends look at her and say, “are you kidding me?” at the same time**
Night Owl: “So we’ll start getting dressed at 11:00 PM. I want to be back at 3:00 AM at the EARLIEST!”
Making Dinner Plans:
Early Bird: “I mean I think dinner at 4:00 PM would be reasonable, right? I want a lot of time to digest before I go to bed at 8:00 PM.”
Night Owl: “What time does Barone close now? 10:00PM? Alright, so dinner at 9:15PM sounds perfect.”
