5 Reasons Why We Are So Over the Snow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

The battle against snow continues as we begin the first few weeks of February. While it may be pretty to look at, the New England wintery snow brings out the worst in us. Whether it is miserably trekking to class under five layers of clothing or being cooped up inside procrastinating finishing homework, it’s safe to say we are all over this white winter. Here are the top five reasons why the snow needs to go:

1. Snow really cramps your style.

All you want to do is dress up in that new cute sweater but unfortunately there are multiple jackets you also have to wear to stay warm, and they just conceal it. To make matters worse, we then try to convince ourselves we look like this…

When really we look like this…

2. Cold weather = Colds

We somehow find ourselves sick more than we are healthy.  Being under the weather makes our days less happy and less productive.

3. Boredom takes control of your life

Now boredom suddenly controls your daily activities.  When even Netflix begins to get repetitive, you surprise yourself by actually doing chores and organizing. New snow, new you?

4. People loose their minds

Perfect snuggle weather with no guy to snuggle with? Well believe it or not people have actually posted on Craig’s List looking to cuddle. Creepy or what? We say don’t let the snow get to your head and stick to your favorite stuffed animal instead.

5. Christmas is way over

So let me get this straight, it didn’t even snow for Christmas but it snows for the irrelevant months? Okay snow, it is time to melt, bring on the spring weather!
