11 Reasons Why Ellen Ultimately Won the Oscars

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

1. Because she called J-Law out on falling…again.

2. Because she became the ultimate selfie queen.

3. Because she scared the living daylights out of Sandra Bullock and Leonardo DiCaprio.

4. Because she gave a lottery ticket to Bradley Cooper as a consolation prize.

5. Because she doesn’t believe in a boundary between couture gowns and pizza.

6. …And made the pizza man’s job a little more interesting by having him personally deliver it to Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.

7. Because she managed to get a selfie with everybody who’s somebody (which successfully crashed twitter for a record breaking number of retweets).

8. Because she later collected pizza money in Pharrell’s hat and ended up with Lupita’s lip-balm.

9. Because she made sure to correctly pronounce Idina Menzel’s name (twice) after John Travolta butchered it.

10. Because she was the best version of Glinda the Good Witch we’ve ever seen.

11. And because we know that come 4 o’clock tomorrow, she’ll be cracking all of the same jokes just in a more casual suit.
