11 Reasons Why Collegiettes Love Baseball Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Springtime is very exciting for collegiettes, complete with dartying and breaking out warm weather clothes.  But our guilty pleasure, which we hold near and dear to our hearts, is baseball season, complete with Major League man crushes and greasy and delicious stadium treats.  Now that it is that time of year for America’s pastime, we can hardly contain our excitement.  Whether you like rooting on your college teams, or your favorite MLB team, read on as we look at reasons why we’re ecstatic that it’s (finally) baseball season.

1. The excuse to go shopping for cute apparel to cheer on our teams. Nothing better than rocking a baseball cap and cutoff jean shorts.

2. Having a beer in our favorite stadium. And obviously posting an Instagram #drinksintheair

3. Catching a homerun ball!

4. Baseball pants when they’re standing on the mound.

5. Baseball pants when they stretch.

6. Baseball pants when they swing.

7. Sports Center’s Not Top 10 Plays make us double over in laughter.

8. Rooting for our favorite players. Who doesn’t love a heartthrob like Evan Longoria and Mike Trout?

9. Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack…and a soda and popcorn. Oh and a hot dog too! All the foods, honestly.

10. Snapchats from the stadium. Bonus points for sunsets and geotags

11. Did I mention, baseball pants? The ultimate collegiette dream= a team with Nick Jonas on it.
