This season is the perfect time to learn how to ooze sex appeal without baring all, as the understated sexy trend is really in right now.
After reading an article on Net-a-Porter recently named the “no-sex sexy”, Her Campus was inspired to look into how girls can be sexy without having to overdo it. Luckily with the warmer weather on the way and the SS13 trends being carefree and fun, sexy is so easy to maintain. Forget tight dresses and 6inch heels, this spring sexy means being comfortable. Here are some tips…
1.Simplicity
Simplicity is one of the key elements of the Spring/Summer 2013 collections and it is something to keep in mind when trying to achieve that “sexy” look. Contrary to popular belief perfect hair, make-up and an “all flaws-hiding” outfit are not the most attractive look to men. Most guys can’t even tell if you’re wearing make-up and bed-hair to them is probably just seen as being carefree, which is definitely hot in their eyes! Light colours, especially white are the way to go, and with the season changing these will look great against lightly tanned skin and a fresh face. Give it a go; it’s easier for you than worrying about whether you can see your underwear line in that too-tight dress!
2.Be Comfortable
· Wear looser clothing; Slip dresses, baggy shirts (with cleavage if you fancy) and boyfriend jeans all show that you are comfortable in your skin and wear what you want to wear! How do you propose to put on the charm if you cannot even breathe or bend over for want of bursting a button?! Less fitted clothing keeps an air of mystery as to what is underneath, which is sure to keep all the guys guessing.
· Wear lower heels, or none at all; the higher the heel, the greater the pain, and possibly the lesser the gain! As much as heels are a fantastic way of elongating your legs and giving you extra height, they can also get in the way of having a great time, which of course is the sexiest thing of all! Plus, guys like to be taller than us, so take advantage of that.
3.The White Shirt
This item makes everyone think of a classic movie scene where the woman wakes up and puts on nothing but the man’s shirt from the night before. You may not want to admit it, but that is certainly a fantasy of many girls and guys! A well-fitted shirt looks great with anything and is a timeless way to look and feel classy. Go for a slightly oversized shirt with shorts when the weather warms up to play with sizes and silhouettes. Balancing out something revealing with something coy and covered is a sure-fire way to look gorgeous without giving the game away!
4.And most of all…Confidence!
As cheesy as it may sounds, before you head to the mirror in the morning to put on your make-up, first put on your confidence! With the correct amount, you could wear a bin bag and still be the sexiest girl in the room! Nothing is more attractive than a girl who knows what she wants and is happy with who she is.
