So let’s catch up a little bit since the last time we talked. I took my Taylor Swift addiction to the next level and got my first tattoo of something that is owned by her and which happens to be my favorite song. So when I tell you I’m excited for midnights I think that is an understatement.
These are some of the most common and some of the most unique Easter eggs and updates that Blondie has given us thus far. Some of these are things that many people are realizing might be true, and some of them are so unbelievably crazy that it just makes sense.
Let’s start back at the beginning before we knew this album was going to be coming out. At the VMA awards, Taylor won best short film. During her acceptance speech, she mentioned that she was so grateful to have been able to receive that award. Within that same speech she rewarded all of us by announcing her next album which is set to come out on October 21. Ever since then, fans have been finding many Easter eggs that is making it seem like she was dropping clues all along for this album.
For the past few days, I have been scrolling on TikTok and saving all of the videos that people are posting to help myself figure out more about this album and possible future release dates for other albums that she’s currently recording. She did mention in an interview that she is recording six new albums right now, and by new albums, I mean re-recording old albums but releasing the new ones and vault tracks. It has been very interesting to watch all of the theories people are coming up and the crazy lengths they will go to to get information out of this woman.
Right now she’s breaking the news, is on all of these talk shows, and getting caught up on every social media platform. Last week Jimmy Fallon, had a whole segment just talking about the release of the Midnights album. Jimmy Fallon has always been a big fan of Taylor Swift and the two have always been very close friends so it was interesting to see him react to this announcement. But this is not the first time he’s reacting to something like this. He also reacted when she released Red (Taylor’s Version). He had all of these theories about some of the new songs that were released along with some of the old songs and All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault).
One thing that Taylor has been doing and is making her fans go crazy for the past few days is releasing track titles at midnight. In her series on TikTok called “Midnights Mayhem With Me”, she spins her bingo spinner and releases the track of the number ball that comes out of the machine. So far she has released three song titles, track seven, track eight, and ironically track 13. This woman knows what she is doing making Taylor nation go absolutely crazy.
All I know is that October 21 will be a night to remember. That will be the night that we get to see the real Taylor and know that she’s a real person going through real issues. She is one of us.
