This week’s Campus Chic: Corey Teich ’13!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

We know you all love scoping out the “Campus Cutie” section in search of Emory hotties, and reading up on “Campus Celebrities” to get to know the university’s newsmakers. Now, Her Campus Emory presents to you a third group of exemplary students: the fashion-forward.

Each week, we will showcase a new “Campus Chic”, one of Emory’s stylish students, and learn a thing or two about his or her fashion sense and style! This is a another excuse to get dressed for class in the mornings, you never know when you’ll be spotted!

Up next…Corey Teich

Her Campus Emory (HCE): What are your favorite stores to shop at? At home or in ATL?
Corey Teich (CT): In Atlanta, my favorite place is a store called Wish in Little Five Points. For the most part however, most of my clothing comes from Urban Outfitters.

HCE: Do you have a signature item of clothing? Perhaps that you are known for?
CT: My signature item has always been jeans. I’ve always had a big collection of jeans, and I wear them nearly every day.

HCE: How would you classify your style?
CT:  I’ve always to some extent modeled myself after the bands that I’ve listened to. I’m hesitant to label myself as one style, but most people would say it falls in the realm of “hipster” or “indie.”

HCE: Do you have any sources of inspiration for your unique style? Or is it just you?
CT: Like I said, my sources of inspiration have always borrowed heavily from the bands I’ve listened to. People like Connor Oberst of Bright Eyes or Brandon Flowers of The Killers have definitely been influential to me.

Jessica lives her life at several speeds. She talks too fast, eats too slow and over-analyzes too much.  When she’s not telling long-winded stories, sitting alone at the dinner table, or staring off into space, Jessica loves all things creative. Screenwriter, play director and poet at age 9, songwriter and choreographer at age 16, now, at 23, all she really wants to do is write, help others, and post Instagrams.  As a social media coordinator for multiple fashion brands, and a post-grad writer for Her Campus, she gets to do just that. Jessica is a Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago, but she fell in love with city living during a summer internship in the Big Apple, and now calls NYC home. Jessica loves chocolate milkshakes, dance parties, Chippewa Ranch Camp, Friends re-runs, Chuck Bass and of course, spending time with her fans (read: family and friends).
