Meet Sam, a senior from Miami!  He’s an accounting major and part of ALPFA Emory and Beta Theta Pi. This single cutie loves salsa music, playing pong and hanging out by the pool. Read on to see what simple thing you could do to catch his eye.

Her Campus Emory (HCE): What’s something not many people know about you?

Sam (S): For anyone wondering who that a**hole is who puts all of his money into the Maggie’s Jukebox to ensure that only Latin Salsa music plays for the entire night…yeah, it’s me.

HCE: Describe your perfect Saturday afternoon.

S: Hard to say what the perfect afternoon would be like but it would have to include the following: a Publix Sub, a good amount of Fifa, going to the pool, and plenty of 21 cup pong.

HCE: What advice would you give to a girl trying to impress you?

S: Wear glasses. Even if you have perfect vision. These days I really find myself into the naughty librarian/secretary/scientist look.

HCE: What’s the most played song on your iPod right now?

S: “It was a good day” by Ice Cube.

HCE: If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

S: The Emory Registrar. I feel like if I wine and dine her, maybe I’ll have a shot at getting that Baseball and American Culture class that fills up within the first .0003 seconds of OPUS registration.

HCE: What three things could you not live without?

S: I’d say: my mom’s cooking, my study abroad semester in Budapest, and the Beta downstairs water fountain.

HCE: What’s your go-to move to show a girl you’re interested?

S: I don’t really have a go-to move but when I was in Vegas with my best friends for fall break, I’d usually lead off with something like “Have you ever seen the view from the Augusta Tower Royal Suite in Caesar’s Palace? No? Well would you like to?”

Jessica lives her life at several speeds. She talks too fast, eats too slow and over-analyzes too much.  When she’s not telling long-winded stories, sitting alone at the dinner table, or staring off into space, Jessica loves all things creative. Screenwriter, play director and poet at age 9, songwriter and choreographer at age 16, now, at 23, all she really wants to do is write, help others, and post Instagrams.  As a social media coordinator for multiple fashion brands, and a post-grad writer for Her Campus, she gets to do just that. Jessica is a Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago, but she fell in love with city living during a summer internship in the Big Apple, and now calls NYC home. Jessica loves chocolate milkshakes, dance parties, Chippewa Ranch Camp, Friends re-runs, Chuck Bass and of course, spending time with her fans (read: family and friends).
