For all of you 21+ year olds, I hope you agree with me when I say that fall cocktails are some of the most delicious out there. And fall fashion is hands-down the best of the year (why else would magazines be hundreds of pages long for September fashion only?). So why not pair the two together and dress to impress with your alcohol?Â
Amaretto, gin, whiskey, scotch, and bourbon bases (which can be used to make delicious amaretto sours, whiskey sours, amaretto cranberries, and gin and ginger beers) can pump you up on a cold night when going out with the girls. What to wear with such different drinks? This golden Ellery suit pairs nicely with amaretto, while this Rag & Bone brown goes well with bourbon and scotch. The Rag & Bone tapestry vest and pant set can also be worn when sipping on whiskey or another dark drink.Â
Enjoyin a dark mulled cider or deep red wine (cabernet sauvignon, if you please) at dinner or when cozying up by the fire are delicious ways to stay warm. The mulled drinks and fancy wines look great with a deep green suit by Elizabeth and James or a red wine-influenced suit by Nonoo. They can also be consumed when wearing a cozy knit by Alexander Wang or passed down from dad. And for a chill (and/or chilly) night, an Oktoberfest German beer is the way to go, especially when worn with a patterned tribal sweater by Free People.Â
When it starts getting even colder, ice and vodka drinks go well with fur, blues, and icy grays. Try sipping on a vodka cranberry when wearing these awesome Joe’s Jeans skinny plaid pants, or when wearing silver pants and a grey fur jacket by Kymerah. A Rebecca Minkoff metallic blazer is also a way to shine in an ice bar. And of course, winter leather looks good in all situations.
Enjoy the fashion while getting friendly with your local bartender (or Mason from Maggie’s, if that’s your thing).
