This is a letter to the people in power. Not that we all do not have power, because we do. All of us, in some way or another. Those people with the most formal power overshadow us, and make us forget our power. However, we do have it.

This is a letter to the people with the most political and economic power. Right now, we are all trying to use our voices and it is you who we are shouting at.

The people of Gaza are asking us to shout at you. And we are trying our best. We are begging you to listen. The people of Gaza are begging you to listen. We are trying to be louder than the bombs so that one day soon they can stop.

So that they can stop now.

Those of us that are yelling, we wish that we had all the money in the world to donate to the people who need it. We wish that we had the power to create and vote on legislation that could end this violence. We wish more than anything that we had something more than our voice, because we are staring at the people who do, and they don’t seem to have the same passion as us. It feels that if we swapped places with you, we would jump into action from wherever you are standing in inaction. So why are you frozen?

Do what we can’t. Because we won’t stop using our voices. Only you can give our vocal cords a rest. Only you can give the people of Gaza the peace they deserve.

We are begging everyone who holds public office to push for, advocate for, lobby for, and vote for a ceasefire now.

Gaza is begging you.

The world is begging that one day there will be a war to end all wars, and it will be over before we even knew it started.

Use your voice to write your representatives!

This link finds your representatives for you and gives you a letter that you can send, though we encourage you to add some of your own words as well!
