Comfort shows to me are my favorite shows that I like to re-watch when I just need to relax. These are shows that never get old to me and always entertain me. Here are my five favorite comfort shows:

1. Shameless

Shameless is a dramedy that is about the fictional Gallagher family and their struggle with poverty in the south side of Chicago. Each character in the family is very different but as a viewer it is easy to become very drawn to them and their storyline. They all face different challenges but with these challenges there is an added humor that makes the viewer laugh while being invested. There are many seasons, which makes it easy to just sit down and enjoy many episodes.

2. Glee

I feel like Glee is a classic. It is a drama, comedy, and musical. Glee allows you to laugh and sing along to your favorite songs. Glee is very inclusive and has an array of many different characters. As a viewer it is easy to get invested in both the characters and their relationships.

3. RuPaul’s Drag Race

RuPaul’s Drag Race is a show I can-not seem to stop watching. It allows you to see a suspenseful competitive environment. It also showcases the lives and creativity of the contestants. It is a very fun show to watch and it is suspenseful to follow and root for your favorite queen throughout each season.

4. Kitchen Nightmares

Who doesn’t love Gordon Ramsay? In this show the viewer gets a shock value at the restaurants in America. It is very surprising to see how unkept and unsanitary the restaurants on the show are. The viewer sees the process Gordon Ramsay goes through to fix up the restaurant.

5. House Hunters

This might be an oldie, but I love watching people pick out the perfect house for them. It is interesting to see how the people on the show balance their budgets and their home needs to find the perfect fit. It is fun to pick your favorite house out of the three options on each episode and hope that the contestants will pick that house!
