If you like animated movies: Coraline (2009).

Coraline is a great movie to get into the spooky mood this season. The visuals are really stunning which makes it a great watch on its own, but the creepy plot adds to the horror fun!

If you like something classic: Halloween (1978)

Michael Myers is one of the most iconic horror villains of all time (and the scariest in my opinion). and Jamie Lee Curtis also shines as one of the first scream queens of her generation (taking after her mother Janet Leigh of Psycho).

If you don’t want something scary: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a classic movie for those who want something on the sweet side. Charlie Brown’s misadventures with his friends on Halloween are sure to get anyone smiling.

If you’re looking for something scary: The Conjuring (2013)

The Conjuring is one of my favorite modern horror movies. It’s well acted, has cool 70’s vibes, and is a totally scary flick! The iconic hide and clap scene is something to remember, along with so many other moments from this movie.

If you want some laughs: The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966)

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken was one of my favorite movies as a kid to watch around this time of year. This classic follows Luther Heggs (Don Knotts) as he tries to stay in a supposedly haunted house to impress a girl. There are lines in this movie that still make me crack up and I quote it all of the time.
