Black Friday is famous for crazy crowds packed outside of big-box and department stores, all waiting for the best deals on electronics, clothes, and holiday gifts. Here are a few of our top tips to help you survive the busiest shopping day of the year with ease.

  • Wear clothes and shoes you can easily slip on and off because if you’re shopping for clothes, ballet flats paired with a light sweater and leggings are much easier to change in and out of versus knee-high boots with jeans.
  • Browse deals before you go so you don’t waste time in stores where you’re not saving the most money. Similarly, compare prices from various stores before you especially if you plan on purchasing any big-ticket items.
  • Shop early to get the best deals even if you’re still stuffed with turkey from last night’s Thanksgiving Feast, but Early Bird specials are really the best way to get the most band for your buck.
  • Don’t go in blindly, so make a list of items in mind that you want to purchase and you won’t get sucked into door-buster deals.
  • If you’re buying presents, do not forget to ask for a gift receipt, it will make things much easier for the receiver.

Also, don’t forget about Cyber Monday, which is the Monday following Thanksgiving when lots of your favorite online stores will most likely be having their own jaw-dropping sales that you cannot find in stores.
