It’s award season, and you know what that means: pretty dresses. Pretty dresses that we will never afford to even touch. Expensive doesn’t always mean beautiful, though. Here are some of the worst golden dresses that make us question the price tag. It’s not all negative, though. We’ve compiled the best fashion recoveries this award season.

I know you are pregnant Keira, but there is no excuse for this weird bib butterfly dress. It is attracting all types of insects, including the abnormally large butterfly that’s resting on your hand. If you took away the weird bib and ruffles it wouldn’t be so bad. You’re still beautiful, Keira.

Rosamund Pike

What were you thinking Rosamund? I know you want to show off your great post-baby bod, but there is no excuse for the weird top that makes your chest look saggy. There is nothing about this dress that is flattering. Try again!

So much better! Sure, you don’t get to show off your great body, but you look super chic and still show a little leg. The red lip adds another layer to this look that makes this an A- fashion recovery. Well done, Rosamund.

This isn’t a horrible dress, but when you are nominated for an individual award you are expected to up your game. This dress is kind of boring. It isn’t as flattering as it could be. Also, the milkmaid braids do not fit this dress. Sorry Joanne, you still look great.

So much better! Everything about this look is better. You look like you belong on the red carpet Joanne. The dress and flowy hair is drop dead gorgeous. Since you didn’t look terrible at the Globes I have to give this recovery a B+. But this is an A+ look.

The bottom is okay. The idea of this dress is nice. It looks like a cool table cloth that I’ve seen at my grandparents’ house. But the top? It doesn’t fit you right. You look flat chested and not as slender as you are. Too much! Just too much.

So much better! It doesn’t look like a table cloth, so there’s a plus. There’s still a weird feel to this dress. I think the problem is the tacky looking belt. I like that you were trying to accentuate your small waist Claire, but it just doesn’t look right. For that reason this is a B fashion recovery.
Jennifer Aniston

I love you Jen, but this dress looks like it belongs to the Golden Globes a decade ago. Plus, hiding your boobs is not really your style. Even on Friends you weren’t afraid to let your nipples show, so why are you all covered up now?
