Beach days are right around the corner, so it’s important to have a beach bag prepared for the start of the season! Growing up by the beach all my life, I have narrowed down five beach bag essentials that are a necessity for this summer. Most of these items are timeless pieces, but there have also definitely been a few new things that are popping up this beach season. Keep reading to find out more about these essentials.
Sunscreen
If you are a frequent beachgoer, it is important to have a good SPF packed in your beach bag. Not only will this keep your skin protected from the sun, but it will also protect you from getting wrinkles in the future. My No.1 tip when picking out reliable sunscreen brands is to check to see if the ingredients are natural. Another great tip is always remembering to put on any type of sunscreen before getting your day started, even if it’s in a tinted moisturizer. Some of my favorite sunscreen brands are Sun Bum, Glossier, and Drunk Elephant.
Hand Sanitizer
A newer beach bag essential that everyone will be carrying around this summer is hand sanitizer. Even though you’ll be spending most of your time at the beach outdoors, there are still a lot of germs especially on crowded beaches on a hot summer day. It is important to stay safe and clean to prevent the spread of COVID-19. One of my favorite hand sanitizers, which is also perfect for summer, is from the brand Sun Bum.
Trucker Hats
A trending piece this summer is trucker hats. They can spice up any beach day look and protect your face from the sun. The best part about these hats is that they are so versatile. They can be worn at the beach with a bikini, or on a shopping trip with friends. The endless amounts of colors and styles allow for these hats to be worn dressed up or dressed down. Some of my favorite trucker hat brands to pair with bikinis are Mad Happy, Aviator Nation, and Clare V.
Sunglasses
One of my favorite accessories for any season, but especially in the summertime is sunglasses. Some of my favorite brands are Ray-Ban, Quay, and ROC Eyewear. In my opinion, these are one of the most important beach essentials, and they fit perfectly in your bag! I feel that sunglasses are a great way to express your personal style. Some of my go-to styles are big cat-eye lenses and small rectangular-shaped lenses. One style forecasted to be trending this summer is yellow lens sunglasses. These can spice up any bikini!
Water Bottle
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! It is so important to stay hydrated at all times, but especially on a hot summer day at the beach. Having a reusable water bottle is beneficial for the environment and keeps your water cold all day long. Some of my favorite water bottle brands are Hydro Flask, Yeti, and bkr. So, before you head out the door for the beach, remember to pack your water bottle!
