Monday typically has a bad reputation for being everyone’s most dreaded day of the week, but Sunday can be even scarier. As the weekend winds down and panic about the upcoming week sets in, Sundays can get stressful. These are a few ways to avoid the anxiety that Sundays bring and get your week off to a positive start.

Don’t put off all your work until Sunday.

Start assignments throughout the week, so Sunday doesn’t have to be a day of schoolwork. Instead of spending the day writing papers and studying for exams, take time to relax before the upcoming week.

Get off campus.

You’ll be on campus for the next five days, so go explore the nearby area while you can. If the weather is nice, go for a walk or a hike. During colder months, it’s the perfect time to check out new restaurants or shops on your day off.

Create a Sunday night routine.

Instead of worrying about the pending school week as the day comes to a close, do something to relax that you enjoy. Watch an episode of your favorite show or put on a facemask before going to bed while you still have free time.

Spend time with friends.

The best thing to do is to hang out with friends. Socializing with people you enjoy spending time with can take your mind off of any worries about school. Plus, it’s good to get in some quality time before everyone gets caught up with busy schedules.

Next Sunday, don’t let school stress get to you. Instead, take advantage of your Sunday and enjoy the day.
