What made you want to get involved in Her Campus ECU?

I wanted to get involved in Her Campus ECU because I’ve always had a passion for writing and when I saw that there was an opportunity to write for such an amazing online student magazine, I had to get involved.  It’s a place for me to write about anything I feel the need to; whether it be about my sorority, my hometown, my friendships, or my relationships, it gives me the freedom and an outlet to express myself.

What have you enjoyed about it?

Something I really enjoy is logging onto Facebook and seeing an article I wrote circulating around my newsfeed. It’s always nice when you see your peers supporting something you worked hard on, and connecting with certain articles I’ve written.

What are some of your aspirations and passions?

After graduating from ECU, I’m hoping to go and get my masters degree in marketing hopefully either at Duke University or New York University.  At some point within my life, I’d like to be able to say that I’ve traveled and seen a few landmarks in all of the 50 states.  I also want to travel to different countries and become more culturally diverse.

What is your dream job?

Then I hope to go into marketing either within the fashion industry where I would be dealing with selling different designer brands to certain clothing stores, or within the sports industry where I’d be selling season tickets and box seats to certain clients.

What is your favorite part about being a student at ECU?

My favorite part about being a student here at ECU is the leadership it’s brought me within the last 3 years.  I’m involved in many things here like Greek Life, the American Marketing Association, the Beta Gamma Sigma business society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and being a tour guide with the Pirate Navigators.  Through all of these organizations, I’ve gained so many friends and have been given so many opportunities to grow as a student.  The school spirit and love each student and faculty has for this school is unexplainable, but I definitely plan on being an active alumnae and coming back to all of the football games once I graduate.

Born and raised in Fayetteville, NC, but Ocean Isle Beach is closer to my heart. I'm an East Carolina University sophomore and a passionate English and Creative writing major.
