When  I was wandering around the streets of Lyon, I stumbled upon this quaint bookshop with a wonderfully quirky entrance of an arch of books. The cosy interior was heaving with dusty old books in every type of genre, from music, art and fanaticism, through to humanities, poetry, drama and eroticism. ‘Le Bal des Ardents’ is a really unique bookshop because it stocks books written by unsung authors, as well as independent publishers who often have difficulty finding a place on the shelves of traditional bookstores. It’s a must visit for lovers of literature!

I am currently in my final year of studying English Literature at Durham University, England. I am hoping to become a journalist in the future, but in the mean time, I enjoy cheerleading, fashion and travelling, and of course, being the editor of Durham's Her Campus!
