Save Lives in 2 Minutes or Less

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Duke chapter.

Between all your obligations at Duke, it is hard to find the time to catch a movie or paint your nails. There often aren’t enough hours in the day to squeeze some downtime into, but what if I told you that you could change people’s lives in a matter of minutes? Online charities provide a quick, easy way to be a hero for a day. Here are some websites that allow you to provide aid for the less fortunate for FREE in 2 minutes or less:

Hoshyar Foundation –Click the link and watch the short clip, and this foundation will donate up to $5,000 to help reopen girls’ schools in Pakistan.

Time required:2 minutes

With the ability to help others right at your fingertips, it’s hard to resist these online distractions. Instead of squandering two hours changing your profile picture or catching up on Gossip Girl, you can feel good about procrastinating.
