Why did you choose film and video?
I chose this major because I always loved a good story and it all started when I was in theatre in high school. I have always loved acting and I thought film would be a good place to learn how to act in front of a camera. As I started to learn about film at Drexel, I forgot about the acting and learned new skills behind the camera that which I love.
What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is The Departed by Martin Scorsese. It was the first film where I saw a significant twist at the end that surprised me. I thought the acting was phenomenal and fell in love with the characters.
What is your favorite thing about film and video?
My favorite thing is that I get to be present on set. At this point in my life I have decided that I would love to work as a first assistant director and would not have learned about this job position unless Drexel gave me the opportunities to work on set for senior projects.
Cats or dogs?
Cats. You don’t have to let them out to pee and they cuddle with you.
Where will you be on co-op?
I will be working in NYC at The Good Company. They specifically work on music videos and commercials. Their clients include H&M, Revlon, Madonna, Beyoncé, Kanye West and many more artists and brands.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is Drexel Park. I can see the beautiful view of the city and it’s a great place to hang out.
Who is your favorite director?
My all time favorite director is Lynn Shelton. She is an independent director who has a great vision. I enjoy how she uses stories in her scripts that are from everyday lives and makes them something we can all relate to in a visually interesting way through the use of her characters.
Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks?
Dunkin’. It has bigger sizes, more deals (download the Dunkin app), and is better flavored!
What is the plan after you graduate?
After I graduate I would like to start a production company in NYC with a couple of my closest colleagues and friends. I would like to make music videos and commercials as a producer or first assistant director.
